Amen brother....

Anyone can apply a layer of wax and make a vehicle shine... it takes a true enthusiast to go through the necessary steps to ensure that the preparatory work is done correctly before the wax is applied...

I'm not one for those fancy, designer waxes.
Good ol' fashion quality Turtle Wax does it for me . . .

Clay Detailing

The results are so well worth the effort. Spent a couple of hours doing my first clay detailing to my 2001 King Ranch a few months back. It is the essential step in preparing your truck for a full wax application. The clay bar used properly will leave the painted surface smooth, removing most of the tiny contaminants that you feel when you lightly rub your hand over a (non-clayed) painted surface. Then go through as many steps as you choose to get the results you desire.

A complete clay bar detailing will make such a difference.

As has been said several times on here by guys that know much more about this stuff than I do...

Prep work is what makes or breaks a detail. If you do good prep work, your choice of wax is almost irrelavent because you will have removed swirls, stuck on contamination, and oxidation BEFORE sealing everything in place.

PREP WORK IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS IN ANY DETAIL!!
