Yep, the only thing with EXTRA in the engine compartment is that you have to rinse it really well or it will leave a "soapy" residue. I actually prefer to use Meguiar's APC+ (don't make anymore ) diluted 8 to 1 for the engine compartment . I save the EXTRA for tires and wheel wells where it's easy to give a thorough rinsing!

 

Thanks for the info Boss, better to know before doing anything drastic. I think I'll give it a shot though, his car has just a tiny amount of electrical stuff in it so I shouldn't have much of a problem getting everything out. I'll post some before and after pictures of the project if I get the chance.

That was from when I was out there for the 3-day Advanced Detailing class... As a moderator at MOL, I was given the opportunity to attend along with about 6 other folks. I think they do this class twice per year. Luckily, I was able to get out there and attend. It was an incredible learning experience and VERY intense. I took about 20 pages of notes (literally) during the classroom portion of the instruction...

I order stuff from Meg's. In the beginning I tried Mothers but I knew Meg's was superior. So, I've stuck with Meguiar's since. I've ordered pads from Premium Auto Care, plus my DA polisher, but that's it.

The first time was about two months ago. I ordered again two weeks ago, but still have not received it. Maybe they are printing out new catalogs.

 

I'd give them a call bob1... that's uncharacteristic for them to have such a lag in delivery... but, also keep in mind that your products will ship out of the Nashville, TN area... still though, two weeks is long even for the brown truck guys (they're typically timely... they just break everything).
