Question Getting rid of wax on plastic

So I was waxing my wife's truck and I was in a hurry. A mistake I know. But I got some wax on the plastic that is on top of the bed, and now I have this residue on the plastic and I cant get it off. So what to do now.....?

Better make sure that nail polish won't harm the paint.

I use a toothbrush and window cleaner. Works great every time. Also use Pledge dust wax........not the cleaner make certain its the wax. Keeps plastic looking new without a greasy feel.

I have some wax on a piece of plastic trim, and I am going to get out there tomorrow morning with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, it seems to have worked pretty well for others. Give that a try if your window cleaner and peanut butter doesn't work.

I bought a product called wax blaster from Classic motoring accessories, but I haven't tried it yet. Has anyone tried this product? Any for or against votes for it? Thanks!

for god's sake men! why is eveyone using these caustic cleaners and procedures, honestly, peanut butter! use an eraser from a pencil that we all have and erase the wax, the rubber in the eraser grabs hold of the wax and pulls it out! i'll bet my pink slip on it! (for legal reasons...that was a joke!!)

Willie,,,,I know it seems farfetched however I have heard from several people that peanut butter really works...I never have tried it. I choose to use a wax that doesn't stain trim. That seems like that is the best thing to do

Use from 40 quaker state oil, some 30 gauge ball bearings, and some gauze pads.... Works like a charm...

Or if you wanted to go the practical way, cover it up with some meguiars NXT protectant. Hides it juuuuust fine
