Need advice on cleaning rear window

I have on 02 Supercrew with a Raider canopy. The space between the rear window on the cab and the front slider on the canopy is so narrow that I can't get in between the windows to clean them (exterior sides). I can go through the sliders on both windows but that only allows me access to the center portion of both windows and not the portion outside of the sliders

Does anybody have any recommendations or techniques on how to clean these windows short of removing the canopy?

Thanks in advance.

Windex used to make a product for cleaning the windows on your house. It came in a green bottle that you screwed your hose into. First, you wet the window with water, then applied the product, then rinsed. It was supposed to clean and rinse without spots. I used it on my (house) windows several times and it seemed to work well enough. One caution though, I'm not sure how hard it would be on your paint.

They make a device made PRECISELY for what you're wanting... My local tonneau/truck cap shop had them on the shelf... let me make a phone call or two ...

The rear window on my wife's Monte Carlo is impossible to clean because of the severe slope. I found a gizmo called a Glass Wizzard" that works pretty well. What it is is a microfiber bonnet that stretches over a flexible pad. It has a long handle, Just dampen the bonnet a little and wash away. Doesn't leave any streaks. Should work well in your situation. $10.00 at Walgreens "As seen on TV".

Great! Thanks everyone for all the great advice. Rockpick - that device looks like the ticket! Anything with a straight handle just won't work.

Good going RP! I need to get one for Hoss. In the winter I put on a truck cap and this looks like it will work when washing!

LMAO..... Kind of like calling Tech Support for a computer problem! I'm visualizing a guy at the other end of the line with a big red nose and blue hair.

Anyhow, that's a pretty neat little tool. I may have to get myself one of those.......... just in case!

Thumbs down

I ordered one for my new company truck an 05 F150 with a Century canopy. It wouldn't fit more than an inch or two at most into the gap before it was wedged tight. To top it off the bottle of wax remover I also ordered leaked during shipment. All in all it wasn't a good buying experience. I guess it can still be used to clean under the refrigerator, as shown on the package or clean the rear window of my personal 2000 F150, live and learn.

I have a Leer canopy and the window of the canopy comes out so you can get in and clean the rear window. It helps get the area between the cab and canopy cleaner since there isn't much room.

What has worked for cleaning the rear windows without taking off the cap? I have a 2003 SCrew with the Lear top. I am interested in cleaning and not having the water spots showing on the windows.
