cleaning gauge cluster plastic

What's the best method to clean the clear plastic covering over the gauge cluster? There's some sort of dried liquid stuff on there and I don't want to scratch it.

Meguiar's Clear Plastic Collection, http://www.meguiars.com/collections/index.cfm?CID=285 consists of the Clear Plastic Cleaner/Polish/Detailer with a few applicators and an Ultimate Wipe... You can buy those products separately but you'd save almost $10 buying that kit.

A damp paper towl or MF does the trick every time, without having to buy anything!

I would try a wet, hot 100% cotton terry towel first. I wouldn't use a papertowel as the fiberous nature of the towel can and will scratch your plastic faces. From there, you are going to have to buy products to clean and polish to remove the scratches induced by the previously mentioned paper towels.

Paper towels, very simply put, aren't in my aresonal for this exact reason. Paper is wood. Wood scratches.

A damp paper towel can't even scratch pudding! It does in a pinch... well, it always has for me... just like my trusty Comet to clean my tires... and haven't pitted a wheel yet!

I use a very good paint brush to clean the dust and dirt from my cluster. Works great.

someone had a fun night in their truck..

..sorry i just had to.

I would use a 100% cotton towel like mentioned above, however i strongly recommend this stuff called stoner invisible glass. Its not like stoner.. 'woooah, your glass is invisible maaan' but its this stuff.
