I tried the peanut butter thing and got mixed results. I guess I just didn't scrub it in hard enough... I did find a wonderful solution though, a pencil eraser.

I got out one of those big erasers and basically erased all the old protectant and old wax off of my plastic trim. The trim looked like it had never been treated once I finished using the eraser. It looks like a million bucks now, has that new trim look to it. Once you put on a product like Meguiars Natrual Shine it looks the way trim should look.
