The brake dust is driving me nuts too!!!
I had a similar product (I can't remember if they were the Kleenwheel brand or not) on an '87 Cougar I had. They worked great for keeping the brake dust down and I never noticed any problems with overheating. Don't know if they'd work the same for the trucks or not but I don't see why not.

I went out and bought this stuff soon as this thread was posted. It works pretty damn good!

I just use paint wax on my mags and it keeps the dust fron sticking as badly.
