OK, here are a few more things NOT to do:
Assuming you actually get to the point where you’re applying the wax to your vehicle. All you want to do here is slop it all over the place – not worrying about if it gets on things that you really don’t want wax on. Yes, textured plastic trim pieces really do benefit from that lovely white reside that seems to last longer than the rest of the wax job. You can tell a real detailing pro by how much of this you find on a vehicle.
Wash once a year. Who needs the Mr. Clean Autodry system to assure that water sheets right off of your vehicle when simply neglecting it will give you the exact same effect?
Here’s one just for us northerners. After a big snowstorm, make sure to remove the snow from you car with a shovel. You can even justify this one by saying that a plastic shovel won’t do any real damage.
