My first wax...

My first wax...
Well fella's...spring finally rolled around and I had the perfect opportunity to wash/wax my '68 Mustang GT my dad and I JUST finished restoring. Turned out well...here's some pics of the car's 'baptism'
The C stripe is not a decal, it's handpainted as well as the dual racing strips up front.
I wish cars these days still had chrome
FINALLY, then engine bay...note that it has yet to be cleaned/detailed since the restoration.
I'm planning on stroking it over the cold months since it will not be driven then. With the engine pulled, this is an awesome opportunity for me to put parts on that would otherwise be tricky and also to really clean up the dust in the engine bay left over from sanding.
Also, while I have the pictures posted, if someone is bored this weekend or whenever, go shopping for me on engine upgrades to make this a GM eater (post links if possible). It sure would help on what to upgrade and in what order to do it in!

When I was a senior in high school my parents handed down to me a 68 mustang coupe that was purchased new for my mother. When I got it it had maybe 30,000 miles on the clock. 289 2bbl, C4 auto, black interior, no console.
It was the same color as that red one above, candy apple red. I waxed it every two weeks. I kept it in tip top shape all the time. It lasted through my first marriage and into my second. It ended up taking up space in the garage with the front end needing all new parts, but it had new brakes. Like an idiot I sold it to a friend. He had it towed to his house. 3 weeks later he tells me it was stolen out of his driveway. That was years ago. Who knows where it is now...
Mine looked just like that one except it wasn't a GT, and it didn't have the "C" stripe.
