Learning to Detail... Virginia

Anyone in the Virginia Beach area know the right way to detail a car. I've always used what I thought looked good at the store. Well Now I have a nice Lightning and a brand new paint job on my mustang and my wife has a newer car too. I want to learn how to detail and how todo it right. Anyone around Virginia Beach want to go over some basics and expalin to me what all the different numbers to waxs are and what the best cleaners/protectors to use?
I'm even willing to pay someone for their time.

I live in Norfolk but am usually working during the weekends. But if you wouldn't mind doing it one afternoon during the week, just let me know.
