Very good questions Brian... it looks like Boss has given you some excellent advice (Scottwax is a super good guy too.....and a great detailer).
Washing 'can' remove some of the fill that #9 provides but, when this is happening, your last step product that you're utilizing is typically failing.
Think of it this way, you're going to 'seal in' your #9 work so, in order for the shampoo to remove those fillers, it'll have to go through the wax first.
#80 is far more of a 'removal' product than #9.

I would have to agree! Synwax is a breeze to apply and remove. As for the protection, I'll probably never know, as I usually don't have a product on the finish long enough to tell. However, I can tell you this... it will last at least as long as NXT. I would simply apply another coat every 6 weeks or so... you'll be good. The cleaner/polishes in the Synwax will keep the paint in good condition and the polymers will protect it.
