This was actually who I was referring to.

And yeah, I definetily agree most of the kids my age are little a**holes. I see what you mean, I'm not really fighting a battle on " kids " Itself. But to the stereotype.

Sure, The whole " throwing rocks at cars " Would most likely be done by some punk a** teenager who is still upset he didn't get that damn Xbox game.

But as far as " those damn kids " in general. Meaning that they're the only one's who've done vandalism is kind of stupid. I guess adults just get a little more elaborate. ( I.E. Sugar The Gastank ) But I hear about grown men cutting tires. Breaking Windows, Kicking things, etc.

But Sorry to hear about your truck, that's what you posted it for. To get help on it. Not to hear some whiny Kid.

But anyways, good luck with it. And Don't lose all hope in todays Youth!

Peace

I DO hope you are kidding. That is one of the most irresponsible things a gun owner could even THINK about doing. That round has to come down somewhere, and YOU are responsible for it, WHERE EVER it does. Any sane, responsible gun owner knows that "warning shots" have no place in "self-defense"...the only time they see the gun is when you've already pulled the trigger on them. (Legitimate self-defense situation where you feared you were about to be killed.) If you had even fired one into the ground, (ricochet???) YOU would be the one going to jail, and the kids would have walked unless they decided to press charges. Do yourself a favor and get some firearms education / training. Sorry about the paint damage, but it's nothing worth killing over.

Man that sucks. I know Hoss was egged before about a year after I got him. I know it was some f'n teenage punks too. Jealous about not having a nice car I guess. Hoss has the same paint damage you have just below the gas door opening (round fish eye looking cracks about the size of an egg). Sucks, no way to repair it.

I feel your pain, being egged. In high school ,my first car was a white 1962 Corvair Monza, which I bought in 1964 for around $500.00.I had to fix a lot of flats, and pump alot of gas to pay for that car.It didnt have the best of paint jobs, but my girlfriend at the time fixed that. The night before homecoming, she and some of her buddies wrapped the car in blue and gold crepe paper, and it rained that night.Needless to say the paper "bled",and I had an interesting paint job for the next few years.Eventually, had a $39.95 Earl Scheib paint job, which lasted about 6 months.

I had somebody egg my car in the winter. There was no way to remove the frozen egg from the rear windshield as applying warm water to defrost the egg would have broken the window. So it had to stay there until it defrosted in the spring. Gross.

I used to park my Dodge Omni(k-car) in the street until some punk neighbors continuously egged it. What made it worse was the fact I was the Second owner and it was in mint condition. At that time my family just moved here, and I was aparently parking in someone's "reserved parking" on a public street. Go figure.

I am really sorry that this happened to you, and I know the feeling. My previous vehicle got egged three times within a month. Regretfully at the time (or maybe good) I did not have my new truck yet. I just bought my new truck and I can only hope that this one does not get egged. Good luck to you and hopefully you can catch the goons that did this to you.

Some states have a victims of crime fund that will compensate you for some of the damage. Might be worth looking into if you plan on getting it repainted. I know where I live, you can get money to cover your deductible for that.

vernonbishop,
Sorry to hear you were in the same boat as me. I too hope your new truck will not face the same fate.

Rjettman,
I didn't know about that fund. I'm going to do some internet searching today and see what I can come up with.
