Help Me Save My Paint!

I bought my BLACK 1999 F-150 from a dealer. It was a little dirty because it had been sitting for a month or two, but it looked good. When I picked it up a few days later, it had been cleaned, but it was dark out. After the first time I washed it, I realized what a nightmare my black paint is. It looks as if there are rock chips all over the hood and as if it was never really washed. The clear coat is still good, there is no peeling, just a few spots where the paint has faded. I am looking for a way to save my paint without repainting the whole truck.

Can you post some pictures of your 'faded' paint? I want to make sure we steer you in the correct direction on this one...

Rock chips can be remedied using a procedure like this one.... It's time consuming but, it works.... very time consuming.
