Any tips on how to clean the seatbelts?

I tried aerosol shampoo but it doesn't work well .Seems like the seatbelts have a coating impervious to cleaning products. What product or household remedy will clean the seatbelts?

PRO's Seat Belt Cleaner (prowax.com)

Pull the seatbelt out as far as you can and then close the door on it to keep it outside the vehicle. Be carefull that you don't have the seatbelt on any latches for the door that'll damage it. Scrub it down this way and wash it off.

Blue Magic Carpet Cleaner.

It's VERY readily available (like AutoZone or WallyHell) and is a miracle product for woven and non-woven fabrics in a vehicle.
