I wonder if Megiars has their own people creating the products or if they farm out.?

 

Yes they do. I met the head chemist when I was out there in April of 04'. Actually saw them testing a product out in the parking lot too... I have no idea what it was but, it was a spray on and wipe off type of product based on how they were using it.... oh yeah, they were testing it on Barry Meguiar's 57'...

I can tell you that this Chemist is one of the most trusted guys in the company as I was told that only a VERY select group of people may enter the lab (most of which must have Meguiar as their last name). The Director of Training and Internet Specialist were not allowed in the lab (and both of these guys are HIGHLY respected within the company).

I imagine they keep a lot of their forumula's a tight secret. This is a very tough market, there are a lot of companies out there and there is a lot of money to be made. I imagine Meguiar's makes sure that the only people who know whats going on in their labs are people that need to know. You wouldn't want one of the internet guys who might end up getting a greivance running over to say Mother's and saying, hey you want their formula's.
