I use one of the lower pressure low price ones. Because we have super hard water I have a large water filter strapped to it to remove some of the impurities.
I use it several times a week for just plain car/truck washing.

Since I keep several coats of wax on my vehicles I can blast off the dirt and dust (biggest local problem) in seconds, and wipe down with microfiber towels to dry.

I only need to spray on the soap and use a mitt after a lot of highway use, mostly cleaning off bugs.

The pressure washer lets me keep the truck clean and looking just washed with five minutes of work.
I wouldn't be without it.

Yep the hose and cord is a nuisance, but for the several hundred bucks I saved over the gas powered ones I can deal with it.

I use the Mr. Clean Auto Dy carwash. You can buy it at Wal-Mart. It's a good system.
