Pledge... :)

So - My wife's truck had a few superficial scratches (which would no-doubt buff out, if I ever decide to wax the thing)...A little frustrated after washing the truck last night, I tried an old trick I had used on my Motorcyle. Pledge Furniture polish.

I tried a 'test' on a back lower part of the bed. It worked VERY well. So well in fact, I 'Pledged' about 1/2 the truck in various locations. While some of the 'deeper' scratches will indeed require some machine-buffing, I was able to knock out, or otherwise hide 90% of those scratches which were CLEARLY visible prior. If I can find any scratches left over, I'll do a couple before and after pics tonite

Would never use that method on my truck, but I have sprayed my whole army jeep with tire wet

I remember a popular detail routine from the '80's that included Pledge after the polish and before the carnauba wax. I used it on my VW a few times - worked pretty well at deepening the shine.

Me neither... but, when I don't own it, it's tough to critique it.
