Question Frozen windows

Alright, after several years of dealing with this it's time to see if anyone has come up with a good solution. How many of you "northerners" have trouble with your power windows freezing to the outside rubber trim - especially the bottom flap. Everytime we have any snow, it seems like some of it melts and gets inside this little rubber flap. When things cool down enough, it freezes to the glass and I can't roll down the window. Eventually it warms up enough inside the cab to melt and the window is free, but often I would like to roll down the window (frost on the glass and turning onto a busy road - it's nice to be able to see if someone is coming). Has anyone come up with a trick to prevent this?

Yea, Most people clean their windows before they leave the house.

If your lazy, like I am, Buy your self a can of de-icer. Its only about a buck.

You just spray it on your windows and mirrors and it melts the ice.

It wont work on thick ice though.

You could always get some Ventshades, and then leave the window open a bit. That has worked well for me through many winters.

If you leave them down all the way, you'll have no frost on them whatsoever when you bring them up when you leave in the morning

You actually leave your windows open?

I for one wouldnt be able to sleep at night knowing there could be a bunch of moths doing their buisness inside of my truck.

The Ventshades protected it pretty well. Plus, there aren't many moths around when the temps dip below freezing.

Talking

Put the defrost on high, very hot, and let the engine run. Get an ice scraper and get the ice out.
