Next time, save the $200 by pulling your boots after washing and using an air compressor and spray nozzle to blow the water out...Works everytime.

On second thought, just send me the $200....

I wouldn’t laugh out loud, that may be considered rude these days. But I am laughing on the inside….ah wait, now I am wondering if that’s considered rude. OK, I got it…I am not going to laugh, but I will sit back in my chair and scratch my head….there, now that cant be considered rude…

If someone has limited mobility of their arms and cannot scratch their head, that could be considered rude... In these days of political correctness, you offend someone, somewhere, no matter what you do. So do your own thing and let them worry about it... After all, it's their problem with what you said, not yours...

Yeah i would do that but my engine has the fuel rail that sits right over the boots/plugs/and individual coil packs. Its a bear to take apart so from here on out the only thing geting cleaned under my hood is the plastic pieces. Live and Learn i guess.

I guess I didn't know which engine you had, or what truck for that matter. I have a 98 with coilpacks, so pulling boots is real easy. You can still send the money, though...

Exclamation ruins coil packs

My brother and I both have the 5.4 liters and its hard to get to the coil packs so he sprayed his engine down shorted out 3 or 4 coil packs ouch they are pricy so be careful. and also watch the auto car washes it shorted his one out once because of the first jet that sprays up under the truck so be careful. here is an ebayer that sells a set of 8 coil packs frequently on E-bay and is $88 for 8, if they are not posted e-mail him he will post them here is the site http://stores.ebay.com/CBS-Automotive-Group

put alittle dialictric grease around the boots and coil pack connectors and you wont have any problems with water, unless you use high pressure, FYI
