So. Cal people - Any interest is attending a detail class at Meguiar's?

I was browsing the Meguiars website and found this info about attending a detailing clinic at their HQ in Irvine, CA.

Here is some information on scheduling a Meguiar's Detailing Clinic for your club or group...

* Get a group together of 25-30 cars that can attend an all day, Saturday class at Meguiar's in Irvine, CA. (8:30 am to ???)
* One person per car. (This is due to limited space in the classroom.)
* Go to Meguiar's On-line Calendar and find a date that works for your group.
* Contact Mike Phillips to schedule your Meguiar's Garage Event!

Here's Mike's contact information should you have any questions or if you would like to schedule an event:

Mike Phillips
Internet Technical Specialist
1-800-854-8073 ext. 189
mphillips@meguiars.com
Anyone in the So. Cal area interested in getting this going?

Having been to a more in-depth training session at Meguiar's HQ in Irvine back when I used to moderate at meguiarsonline.com, I can tell you guys that this is something that is DEFINITELY WORTH ATTENDING if you can make it.

I sat through 3-days of instruction, both in the classroom and in their onsite detailing garage. Since I was there, they've upgraded their classroom facilities too... it is an impressive place and you'll enjoy your time. Once you're there, tell Mr. Pennington or Mr. Phillips that 'ROCKPICK' says hello!

May as well show off some pics eh?

Notice the wet sanding marks on the top of the trunk? See any in the last pic? *smile*

Nice pics. I am hoping there is enough interest in this to warrant setting something up.

Count me in, and I can get at least 1 more person/truck as well.

So count me in for TWO people/trucks. I'll be coming from San Diego...

Does it cost anything? do they help you on each vehicle you bring?

Meguiar's Detail Days are free of charge -- unless something has changed.

The 3-day class is typically held a couple of times per year and is designed for their distributors...

I have a buddy on a Ranger forum who I told to post something over there as well. Hopefully we can pull enough people with the joint effort to warrant a Meg's day! woohoo

I'm down. I went when I had my Ranger and it really kicked butt. I haven't really detailed my truck yet, since I bought it last September. The only thing is I have a little scrape on my left rear fender where a dumb broad didn't know how to pull out of a parking space.

Unhappy

RockPick what a small world...

This was the meguiars MBworld class I was to attend in 04. But I had to make a choice,

1)Go to the class that I had been looking forward too for months.
or
2)Stay home with my wife and our newborn first child just over 1wk old

I too would be interested but your account will not accept email.
Add me to the list if it's still going/growing!
