Hundreds Of Tiny Frontend Rockchips Filled With Wax!!!
Ok well I just detailed the exterior of an 04 mustang that was not taken care of very well. Clearcoat etched waterspots like you would not believe and hundreds of tiny rockchips in the frontend. Well the girl calls me today and tells me that there is spots of wax all over the front of the car in the rockchip holes. My question is (of course) how do I remove the wax from all of the tiny chips??? Thanks Justin.

Confucius say: berry berry karefulllee wiff toofpik.
RP say: Small brush (stiff bristled paint brush maybe), and a boatload of your time. There's no solve all here...
A body solvent like Bug and Tar remover may help but, you're going to have to let it go on, semi-dry on it's own, and then remove. Mind you, you're removing all of the wax on this area and thus, it may need to be rewaxed.
I assume we're dealing with a dark colored vehicle? Maybe a red?

Been there done that lol. My 01 Mustang was True Blue which is a dark blue, I waxed it once and had a gazillion spots on the front bumper.
Interjecting for a moment I don't think it is the fact that the car was not taken care of, I think the areodynamics of the mustang itself has somethingto do with it as almost every one I have seen has the same front bumper rock hits.
Ok back to the fix...not sure what color hers is but I used the turtle wax product that is colored and has the lipstick tube with it. Take the lipstick tube and rub it across the white spots, let it sit, wipe off excess and re-way with colored turtle wax..good as old

Well I can tell you what the bug and tar remover is going to do... It is going to look like the wax is gone, then when it dries it will look white again. The wax is recessed into the paint not sitting on top of it like a bug or tar.
I tried everything before I found the turtle wax at Auto Zone. You have two options, either rub the red turtle wax stick over the white and re-wax with the red turtle wax or power wash it to remove the white wax and just re-wax the front bumper with the red turtle wax.
