New products on the market for Spring 06'

Over the past few months I've been so busy with work I have barely had the time to read the message boards no less post or detail my truck on a regular basis. Luckly my schedule has smoothed out so I'm getting back into the full swing of things. As usualy I had to go out and test out a few of the new products out there on the market.

I'm not posting any pictures right now because by the time I get my truck done it starts raining, everyday. I promise to post as soon as those spring showers start coming to an end.

Meguiars Quick Interior Detailer Wipes - I picked up these wipes the minute I caught them on the shelves at Advanced Auto Parts. It's parent product (Quick Interior Detailer Spray) has been a great product since it hit the shelves in 05' and I was really excited to see the wipes. From my experience with the wipes it seems to be either a quick fix or just a good cleaning agent before applying a stronger interior detailer. Then again it might just be that I'm not used to my dash being so matte. I defenitly feel that it's a product that is and should stay around for a long time.

Meguiars Quick Clay System - Alright, maybe it's just new packedging with a couple extra's inserted but it defenitly deserves a review. At the same time, what can I say but great job? You just can not beat a clay bar packedge that includes two (yes I said two) clay bars, a box for the bars to be stored in, a bottle of quick interior detailer, a microfiber towel and a bottle of Meguiars Cleaner Wax. Not only that but the packedge retails for less then $20. This is simply a steal on the market and puts all the other retail (pep boys, advanced, o'reilly, autzone) clay bar products to shame. Two thumbs up, A+ product!

Meguiars Multi-Piece Wheel Wash - When Meguiars did their new product give away, this is the product that I had opted for. My wheels are not multi-piece nor are any of my break parts exposed. That made this product the best version of Hot Rims to try out in my opinion due to how it had to be the most delicate version. Meguiars really hit the nail on the head yet again with this product. My favorite part of this product is how well the sprayer foams the product onto the wheel and really goes at the dirt. Sure no product is a true spray on wash off product, but this one is really close. Even on heavily break dusted wheels I just barely had to agitate and the dust was no more. Yet another A+ product by Meguiars.

Meguiars Hot Shine Tire Foam - When I first got into detailing I used to get a bottle of Meguiars Hot Shine every once in a while to mix it up with the Endurance line. Hot Shine always gave you a nice shine that lasted a week or so. This product continues in that great tradition but with easier application. In the original spray version you would go back over and wipe the tire so there was no streaking. Unlike the old version, with the tire foam you just spray it on, walk away and your good for another week. This is defenitly the product to use in pollen season where you do not want to spend 1/2 - 1 hour applying Endurance knowing you'll have to wash your truck and wheels within a couple of days. The new Hot Shine Tire Foam deserves an A+ for ease of use and great results.

Eagle One Nano-Protectant - I picked up this product last night at AutoZone, just to give it a wirl. I am one who likes to try out all kinds of different products and am always prepared to be disappointed. I was totally shocked with how well of a product this really is. Not only does it give a nice semi gloss finish to my vinyl and plastic parts but is also fantastic at cleaning. For some reason the plastic behind my trucks bench is always dirty. I am constantly stuck testing out new cleaners to get rid of all that dirt build up. I just gave it a good spray of the Nano-Protectant, you could just see the dirt begining to run. I gave it a wipe and not only was the plastic clean but had a nice semi-gloss finish. That was this morning that I first applied this product. I'm going to give it a few days to see how it holds up over the next few days to give it a rating. Though right now, it's really headed toward an A+ and finding a permanent home on my shelves.

The next set of new products that I want to try are the new Mothers line of accessories. Everyones new products from Meguiars to Turtle Wax are appearing on store shelves yet I am still waiting patiently for Mothers accessories to show up at Advanced Auto Parts as promised.

Thanks for the review. I think I will try the Hot Shine tire foam. I use the Endurance gel now but always looking for something better.

I would never say that the Hot Shine Tire Foam is a better product then Endurance. It's just more of an ease of use thing, especially since I had knee surgery a few months ago. I can not get on my hands and knees for an excessive amount of time that Endurance almost requires.

Endurance is going to give you the best shine for the longest amount of time possible for any product on the market that I know of.

Sweet review, I was wondering if anyone tried the hot shine foam and what they thought of it, now I know.

The thing is with the spray foams is that you always get a little bit on your wheels. What I did was make a template the exact size of my wheel out of some old formica that my neighbor threw out. I put a finger hole in the middle so now I just go to the wheel spray and go to the next.
