Lambs wool mitt

I want to buy a good quality wash mitt. If i remember, Rockpick mentioned this is what he uses. What source online has good quality mitts? Thanks.

That's the one that I love and use frequently. Like it so much that I just bought a half-dozen of them about two weeks ago.... My favorite mitt.

Some hate it though... all in an opinion.

RP what about the new Micro Fiber wash mitts that are out. Have you tried any of these yet. I too have always used the wool one but am in need of a new one and was wondering about the MF.

I dunno 'bout the mitt, but I use a MF sponge, and it works like a charm. But, I imagine that's part, if not most, of it is preference.

Do you guys also use those wool mits to wax too? Heard of people using those but doesn't make sense to use them to me, I always used the foam pad that came with the wax.
I do use the Microfiber towel for drying, works wonders!

Wool, under normal conditions, has a much more aggressive cut than does a regular foam pad but, when used with the correct abrasive products (ie: compounds). For me, a nice mitt, like the SW Arnold mitt, is critical to keeping the finish in great shape (when used properly).

I'm not much on the MF mitts as they don't tend to hold as much shampoo/water for lubrication. Further, they don't have much 'nap' to them to allow a grain of sand or some grit to become entrained in the mitt rather than dragging it around all over the paint.

ahhh. Well, I have yet to use a wool one, but I hear good things. I still stick to my previous: personal preference. I re-dip my sponge about every few square feet anyway, and have yet to experience the sand particle thing. Hope it doesn't do that (knowck on wood...to keep it from happening next time.)

Is the SW Arnold mitt the same material as the lamb wool mitt?

SW Arnold makes a slew of mitts. The one, in particular, that I like is the 85-340 (part number).
