Can wax go bad?

Can wax go bad?
Its a pretty simple question, can it go bad? I had applied a coat of Meguiars Gold Class wax the other day and was going to go ahead and apply a coat of NXT. But, I went ahead and by the time I was even doing one panel, it was so hard to get off. Literally, it took about 30 minutes to get all of the wax off of the tailgate. I thought maybe it could be the humidity. But, I've waxed my truck when it was much worse outside.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Sure...it can go bad... this is typically a separation of the product and it cannot be reblended with simple shaking.
As for your removal problems... a couple of thoughts...
1. You applied it too thick.
2. Humidity - Dry times will vary GREATLY with high humidity and thus, removal times will vary as well.
3. Bad bottle.
4. Earth and moon alignment - if it's greater than 32% of an angle to the third moon in Jupiter's gravitational pull, well, it makes it tough to remove.

Well, I was using NXT which isn't a liquid wax. But, like I said the Meguiars Gold Class, which is a liquid wax, went on and off AMAZING compared to the NXT. Now, I don't know if it was a bad can or if thats just how it is. I don't remember the NXT being nearly as bad on my Arizona Beige as on my Black. .

You can get NXT in liquid and Gold Class in paste....
My paste Gold Class was harder to remove than the liquid when I waxed a couple of weeks ago. I think the change in humidity from one day to the next made all the difference in the world. I had to wait nearly 30 minutes for the carnuba to set up properly.

You could wax the az beige with cow shat and it turn out good results. Black is a whole new ball game.
When waxing the red on my truck then waxing the lower az beige the beige requires very little effort compared to the red.
