I can think of about 100 products I would use before I selected nu-finish.

a few questions:
- what is the current condition of your paint?
- how thorough of a process do you want/have time to use?
- applying by hand or machine?
- what type of work area do you have to utilize?
- what is your budget for supplies/tools?

Wow....I just want to polish before I wax,as I usually do...
- My paint is Cobalt blue and in very good condition.
- I just want to polish before waxing.
- By hand.
- My driveway.
- Nothing over $12-$15
I was thinking of using Mothers 2nd step process Sealer Glaze.

Mother's 2 step would do the job, as would Meguiars three step.

I am a big fan of Meguiars ColorX for people that are looking for a good all in one product .. it is a good cleaner/polish/wax that can be used as a one step process, is mild enough for routine use, and can stand alone if desired.

if I was you, I would:

Wash
Clay
Meguiar's ColorX
Meguiar's NXT (2 coats)

I even use ColorX as part of my multi step processes at times, as with my 2003 Expedition here.

Question

Thanx for the replies Gipraw.I just went out and bought some Meguiars step 2 Deep Crystal System polish. The only thing I dont like about the application is,it states to apply, not let dry,and then remove. Is this normal? Like I stated earlier,i'm use to applying Nu-Finish,let it dry to a haze, then remove it.

yes, it is normal .. most polishes and cleaners are that way .. the job they do is clean and polish, not protect or seal, so there is nothing to be gained by allowing a pure polish or cleaner to sit and cure. You let a wax or sealant cure because it is a protective layer ..

the Meg's DC system works very well.. work small areas with the cleaner, and it will wipe of really easy .. if some of it does dry, you can use a little quik detail spray and a microfiber to get it off, or a little of the cleaner wax will also do it .. but the best bet is to get it all prior to drying ..

Wow! That polish worked awesome! My paint has never looked that wet before! After I polished I went ahead and waxed, with my good ole classic Turtle Wax.Ya'll are probly laughing, wondering why I use Turtle wax; because its what I like and it suits my needs!
