I just bought the same kit and like it. I also bought the dvd. Since I am a beginner The DVD helped me a lot by actually watching instead of just reading about it. The only item I have bought since was a bottle of #83 because my wife's car had some deep scratches I could not get out with the #80.

The G100 is easy to use and takes a little bit of time to get used to it. It looks like you will have enough to get you started. Maybe some #9 swirl remover too. Enjoy and let's see some pics after you have used it!

Top to bottom, it's really a solid array of products in my opinion. The #9 isn't a bad idea in my opinion as it is a pretty good 'last step polish' before going to wax. It works well to conceal the very fine swirls that may be left behind after utilizing the #80 (which is one of my favorite 'all round' polishes).

You may snare some extra MF towels... the 5 pack of Supreme Shine MFs were on sale not too long ago... they really are a nice towel for the price. Also, you may snag some Waffle Weave drying towels -- these are called the 'Water Magnet' towels -- again, a great towel for the buck... get several.

I just got my package from ADS delivered today by big brown. I purchased the DVD and have watched part of it. It is very informative and well worth the price. I would highly recommend it if you've not used a DA before.

Thumbs up

well never having used one before I was debating the DVD as well....but decided to "practice" on the wifes jeep B4 trying it on my black baby...

easy as pie to use....even tried to mar the paint in a already scuffed up spot and it just wouldn't do it.....

after washing and claying I thought the paint was pretty clean....boy was I wrong....although not specifically recommened for DA's I used Megs #1 cleaner and #2 polish from the 3 step group....and NTX liquid wax....since this is what I already had in the garage....

using the cleaner turned the pad completely black....and it's a maroon colored jeep....wasn't even close to clean after washing twice......we bought from our neighbor and don't think she ever washed let alone waxed the thing....had tons of light scatches from her dogs on the drivers side doors....

the polish took out almost all of the scratches....probably need something with just a bit more bite to get them all.....

best of all the wifey was extremely happy when she saw it in the direct sunlight and discovered it has a gold metalic flake base....before 6 hours of sweating you'd have never known it was there....

work small sections at a time in the shade on a cool vehicle....don't let cleaner/polish dry before removal.....and although some don't like them I used the MF bonnets over a dry buffer pad to remove the wax....saved my arms from falling off

have to say one of the better investments I've made

I ordered the DVD and got it in this week. It was well worth the asking price. It runs about 2-1/2 hrs and Mike Phillips demostrates the proper methods of using the PC with several different products. This ain't just a fluff and buff movie, it is a hands on demo of how to use the PC correctly and will save you time and do overs. You can't go wrong with it, but you can go wrong without it.

Cool Harley,

Thanks for the reassurance. I figure, I spend alot of money on my vehicles upkeep so whats $25 more to learn the proper techniques from a pro?

I haven't used a mechanical polisher on a car since I was a kid and even then, it wasn't my ride it was my bosses and if I recall correctly I burnt the paint a couple times:o

I'm sure it will be a good investment for my vehicles.

Thanks

Oh, and by the way, Sweet Truck!!!!!!

I think it's your fault RP...If you would just say all we need is a wash cloth and a can of wax we would all be more financially secure..

LOL... I'm innocent!

Quick comment on your order... There's not much use for a cutting pad on the PC unless you're using it as a 'backing' for the MF bonnets...

Simply put, the PC won't generate enough RPMs (and thus heat) to really utilize the cutting pad effectively.
