Question about claying.....

Well with the temperatures dropping down around 80-85 here in MS and low humidity, I was thinking of claying my truck this weekend.

My question is this.

Would it be alright to wash and dry the truck off tonight and then get up early in the morning and then clay, polish and wax it?

Or do I need to suck it up and just do it all tomorrow?

Thanks.

As long as it's inside a garage and never use it after you wash to minimize foreign (hope spelling is right) tiny object that cause swirl. Otherwise, use a lot of clay lubricant during claying.

You will be fine. Just make sure you use a good clay lubricant.

Thanks guys.

I will be using Clay Magic that already comes with a lubricant and clay bar in the package.

I think RP recommended this brand over Meguiar's, so I ordered some.

I would hit the area you are going to clay with a QD and wipe prior to starting the claying, just to be safe ..

Ehh... IMO, they're all about the same. Not too long ago, someone pointed out that ONE company owns the patent on automotive clay... that being said, they're all very similar...
