Big THANK YOU!!!

Just wanted to give you guys esp. RockPick a big thank you. After several days of reading post on here I got a Megs Clay Kit (and a bunch of other goodies) and did the claying on my daughters dark blue Mazada 3. Followed the instructions I read on here and my 17 year told me thanks, because it really made a huge difference. That thing looks like a mirror instead of a car now. Still can't believe she said thanks.

Now before anyone says this is a F-150 forum I have just got back into the F-150 family after having owned many in the past. I have a 2006 Screw, T-red, Chrome edition. Using what I learned on here it's going to get an all day detailing this weekend. Oh, even though it's only a few weeks old I did the plastic bag thing and it really needs to be clayed.

Again thanks,
Ricky T

Just be carefull with advice from RockPick...the list of the "bunch of other goodies" he's always talking about could get you into trouble...your car will look great but your bank accounts will look like crap..

Ticman- I have to agree and watch out for "all the other goodies" as they can kill your bank account and welcome to the forum

RP- We do love you

Same here, just bought yesterday my Meg Paint Cleaner. Gonna try this to my wife's minivan, before doing my truck.

Atta' boy. That's my philosophy too. The wife's Explorer is the 'test' vehicle for a lot of things that I try and am asked to try. It's definitely a 'wax mule'.

RP, that was my thinking with the daughters car as well.

BTW, got the hood and front of the truck clayed, cleaned, polished and waxed this afternoon. Looks fantastic. Geez, the screw is a big vehicle when you're trying do everything at once. Gonna finish this weekend.

Oh and another thing already have 2 neighbors who want me to clay thier cars too. I don't think so. Way to much work.

Thanks

The test result......

1. It works for blemishes.

2. My wife's minivan "shines" more than my truck! (post pic. maybe later)

3. Some scratches still there but it was tolerable (on my wife's perpective, but not my 6 year old son... he's quite picky)

Therefore, another visit to car shop for Meg Scratch X

Don't tell him that it's a STRAIGHT downhill plunge from this point. I mean, hell, I spent $20 on detailing stuff this morning at 7:30am... NAPA had their 3M stuff 75% off.

I have definitely become an addict since I found this site shortly after buying my 2006 F150 Screw. My old car maybe received a washing a few times a year and a coat of turtle wax once a year.

But after spending as much as I did on my baby I want to make sure I take good care of her. I never knew there was so much to detailing your truck but thanks to this site and guys like RP I have learned a lot and become a convert/addict.

My wife does not like the $$ I have spent already but I will make her happy after I wash, clay, and wax her Grand Cherokee. I will tell her I am doing it just for her but this will be my test vehicle
