Rain-X Interior

Has anyone tried the interior rain-x. I did a searcha nd didn't see any topics about it. I saw it at AZ and was curious about it. This was one of the bggest mistakes i have made. It leaves all kinds of streaks and smears that you cannot get off. It does not come off like the exterior rain-x. I was just curious if anyone else has similiar experiences, because i hate this stuff right now.

Are you talking about the Anti-Fog product? I didn't know that they made an 'interior' product other than that?

Lonnnnng Lonnnng time ago when it was called "Anti-Fog".

Similar to you, I thought it was garbage. While it didn't allow fog, it was smeary and a royal pain to utilize...

Removal shouldn't be too bad... get a little isopropyl alcohol on a paper towel and wipe it off... follow with a good glass cleaner to finish.

Ok, i thought maybe i was just stupid and not applying it right. But i agree with you, it just smeared and never got clear. I think i'll quote you and say complete "garbage", i'll just rely on the defroster. So just regular rubbing alcohol will take it off. I'm glad to hear that.

On kind of a side note. When using stoner's invisible glass, if some gets ont he dash, it won't stain it or discolor it will it. I'm talking just the overspray. thanks RP

I've never had issue with Stoner's staining or causing discoloration .. but I would make sure you wipe it off if you get some overspray, don't just leave it sitting there to dry ..

I figured letting it sit may not be a good idea, but i just wanted to be on the safe side and ask. The aresol seems to make a mess with overspray. Thanks for the opinion Gipraw.

Personally, I like the Rain-x anti fog stuff. Granted, Iused the wipes, but they were super soaked with the chemical, so after liberally applying it, I simply wiped off the excess with a cheapo MF (that I use for general cleaning, esp. Glass/interior). It worked wonders, and I now just reapply every 4-6 months, and do the same wipe down.

Just note--I wiped down lightly right after I applied the stuff, then I wiped a little more forcefully about 30 minutes later. This eliminated any/all fogging, smears, etc, and made theis product stay with me.

If, however, you decide you don't like it, I'll take it off your hands...

Ahhh. I see. Thanks for the thought, though. (remember, it's the thought that counts...)

I'm glad for you , though, that since you got the sample bottle, you didn't loose a lot of money by buying a lot of it and finding it useless.

Man, that rainx antifog was the best thing I ever put on a jeep winshield. (mind you, my jeeps were old cj's) those damn winshields always leaked and fogged over in the rain and ther eI was wiping the winshild, driving a manual steering 3 speed wandering all over the road. Then I tried that stuff, and sure it was a little streaky, but no more fog!

i can understand the jeep application, but its jsut too streaky when you have a convenient defroster. I love modern technology.
