Paintless dent remover

I have located a PDR dealer near my house in Chelmsford Mass. The dealer gets a guy in from dent wizard. Ok, but he wants 150$ for one about and 1" and another 175$ for 2 dings the size of a dime each about 2 " apart. So for 325$ he can remove them. Does this sound high priced? I thought they get about 75$ for the 1st one then pro-rating for each one after that? Any one in the Chelmford Mass. area that has connections or is a PDR guy himself give me a call? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I know that they do base their prices on the size of the ding. Lucky for me, but times I've used PDR the price was less than $100.

Is the quoted price for taking the vehicle to the shop?...or out to your truck?

$100 per dent is about in the middle of the pricing market. Cheaper if the dents are on the same panel.

Sounds high to me. Are you paying a middle man? I went straigt to the painless guy and he took 4 pretty good size dents out of my hood and top of the fender (tree fell on it) plus a door ding for $135. Took him about an hour and 15 minutes.

PDR guy NEEDED...

toolmaann, yes that price was me taking it to the shop where the dents were to be removed. Wanted it to be left with the for at least 1/2 day...

bluejay432000, yes that was for a middleman, so I quess I can see why the price is higher.

Problem up to this point is that I cannot find a PDR guy that works for himself. Does anyone have a name or # of a PDR guy in my area (Chelmsford Mass.) that I can hire to get some dents out?

Thanks,

I just looked in the Yellow Pages here and found Dent Empire. They were great. Is Dent Wizard not in the Yellow Pages? You might try going directly to them.

that does seem high but they do charge a lot and i usually wont come out 100%. I had one done on the crease on my passanger door and you can still tell whenthe light shines on it and you can see a ripple in the reflection.

It depends on where the dent is and whether it marred the paint beyond a buffing. The hail damage on my Silverado was extensive and a paintless guy got it all out. You could not see any sign it had ever been damaged. The same for the dents on my F150. They were like you had taken a fist and whammed the top of the fender and hood. One was right next to the antennae. Plus a pretty good door ding. You can not find where they were. It is awesome to watch a guy that is good as he works that metal back into shape. Takes a lot of patience to do it correctly.

I ask my local dealer if they could take them out using the contract price they pay for dent removal under contract by dent wizard. It only cost me $35 for each hail dent (3 total).

I quess I will go to the dealer and see if they can help. At 35 per dent I would jump on it. The 3 I have are minor, I am sure they are a easy fix. I just can't see paying 350+ to remove them... I will keep looking, thanks.....
