Unhappy Is Undercoating a 98 F-150 a Good Idea?

Hello. I recently purchased a 98 F-150. The truck has never been undercaoted. After crawling underneath it yesterday, I noticed some surface rust on the bottom of the cab floor, and a little bit on the underside of the bed. I took a wire brush to the rust and coated it with a rust inhibitor called Rust Killer. My question is do I no go and spend $365 +tax to get the truck undercoated, or will the undercoating trap moisture and advance the rusting? If undercoating is not a good idea, can anyone offer any other options for me?

By the way, I live in British Columbia Canada where we get snow for about 4-5 months each year.

Thank you

Rust Check or Krown are both very good products that won't trap moisture. Six of one; half dozen of the other. Both about $120 for your truck.

Rust Check: http://www.rustcheck.com/

Krown: http://www.krown.com/

Hope that helps!
