Cleaned my truck yesterday.

well i cleaned it yesterday, but when i got done it was too dark to take pictures.....and today i woke up sick....so i took some pictures instead of doing make up homework.
I might do another coat of wax today too...not sure though.

Steps i used to clean the truck:
  1. Wash with Megs. Gold Class car wash
  2. Clayed with Megs. smooth surface clay and Quick Detailer
  3. Rewashed to get any residue off that i somehow missed
  4. Cleaned chrome wheels with Megs. Chrome wheel cleaner
  5. Polished whole truck with Megs polish
  6. Waxed with Megs. NXT wax
  7. Polished chrome with Mothers Chrome Polish
  8. Applied Megs. hot shine tire foam on tires.

And now for some pictures.

Great suggestion on a darker color IMO.

It does look very good as-is though. The suran-wrap look is there (which is typical with nearly every synthetic product that I've ever tried but, the clarity is very good. The addition of the #26 or another carnauba based wax will deepen the look and even darken the paint a bit. Apply very lightly and remove equally as light (no scrubbing to remove). Apply VERY VERY thin!

Nice work and thanks for sharing the pics!

A 'Step #3' of the Deep Crystal System from Meguiar's or another carnauba based wax is also an option.

If you have an Auto Zone, Advanced, Pep or similar near by, you can probably come up with #26 -- which I still consider to be one of the better liquid carnuba based waxes out there.

They typically carry it but may have been out I suppose. If you have an Advanced Auto Parts, they can order it and typically have it next day I believe.

Best of luck!
