The solve-all bet is to buy new rails and take better care next time... *shrugs*

There are some chemicals -- like Mother's Back to Black -- that are meant for this type of thing. The problem is that nearly ALL of them run down the paint with water, will wash off, require FREQUENT application, and generally suck.

It's a plastic part from Ford and thus, it'll be expensive but, that's the best route.
