That was my initial feel about the thread as well... in fact, I almost deleted it rather than responding to it.... then I got to thinking....

I think he's serious... I may be wrong. Who cares at this point though?

lol, i can't believe u guys thought i was kidding. i no plenty of people who wash their cars with tide or dish soap or any laundry detergent. i think u guys have been hanging around 2 many car enthusiests 2 understand that average joes who wash their own cars aren't into it enough 2 no whats best. i was for real, and my advice 2 you guys is to get out more 2 see how sad the world can be . but then agian ignorance is bliss.

BTW- i think DIY was for real but was just trying 2 save the embarrasment and moral thrashing i recieved.

P.S. - im contemplating suicide after ur harsh comments

lol, Nope, I really was kidding, but then again the beating you took was enough to make anybody afraid. I haven't done it since before I got my 87 Mustang GT in Highschool, but if it's any consolation, in my younger days I used the dish soap a time or two.

I say we push hard for a pulic education program on the perils of washing your vehicle with the incorrect soap. This travesty must end.

No seriously, that's how we learn. Kudos to you for being man enough to admit it and take the beating that ensued.--DIY

P.S. I even used Turtle wax one time! But now I've seen the light. Rockpick has saved many of us from the err of our ways.
