Wheel well cleaning

I'm doing the full detail this weekend, and I'm wondering what's the best method for cleaning wheel wells? Also, what cleaning products would you recommend? Now that I have a 4x4, the wheel wells are really visible, so I want to make sure they get as clean as the rest of the truck.

Wheel wells == Simple Green, nylon bristled brush, patience. Very simple.

Your what other products question is far too open ended to answer in a 8 hour work day. LOL! Anything specifically?

I agree, simple green, spray 9 whatever you can get that is similar, all purpose. Often I find that oil spray that I get hinders cleaning the wheel wells too much, more in the back so I just spray with water till it looks ok. I've gotten away from too in depth cleaning, like door and tailgate bottoms as I have a small rust problem that I'm keeping at bay.

I've heard tire foam works great on plastic/rubber wheelwells.

For cleaning: No....

For finishing: ABSOLUTELY

After cleaning, I'll always go with my least favorite tire dressing to finish the work in the wells. Apply this product BEFORE you do your very last wipe down of the vehicle as you may tend to get some overspray and, as a result, some blotches on the paint.

I am a clean wheel well freak. I use purple power cleaner and a heated steam jeanie pressure washer. Then add some cheapo dressing on it.

I would highly recommend undercoating the rear inner wheel wells. it will black it out as well as cover that cheap factory overspray. And makes it so much easier to clean. And of course makes it look so much better esp on the lighter color trucks
