Need to remove large black smudge

While i was in throwing darts at the bowling place some jerkhole hit my truck. The tail light is smashed and there is a 1/2" wide black stripe down the entire drivers side of my truck. It looks like a a car mirror did it. I was able to wipe a little bit off it off with some spit and my thumb to see if it damaged the paint. It appears that it didn't do any deep damage.

How would i go about getting this mark off without doing any more damage?

I made a post in the general forum and it's currently doing circles over the beruit airport while demands are being met.

Serious help please

hard to say without seeing it, but my first suggestion would be to try some cleaner wax on it, if y uhave any.. if not then go pick up some Meg's ScratchX and try that on it .. see if you can remove the mark ..

there are several other things to try, but that is what I would try first, sight unseen, anyway.

As was suggested, I would try some ScratchX on that and see how it comes out.

You may even want to give a clay bar a try at removing some of that before starting with the ScratchX.

I agree with Mister B. wash your truck really well then use a clay bar. You wouldn't believe the amount of crud a clay bar will take off. And of course some elbow grease.

Try a good rubbing coumpound. That took the same problem off my truck when the same happened to me.
