microfiber towel cleaning

i was wondering if it would be ok to clean the microfiber towels with just regular soap, such as dial or even car wash soap, and water and do them by hand? I tried this on two towels and they seemed to be pretty clean afterwards. I made sure to rinse them with plenty of water. Would this be acceptable way to clean them?

Just dont use any fabric softeners. They clog up the micro fibers. Micro-restore is what I use and works great

The washer is the best way in my opinion. As mentioned, no fab softener. If your water is somewhat hard, you may add something in the rinse cycle to help them rinse more thouroughly... ie: a tablespoon of vinegar per individual towel.

Correct. The water has lots of dissolved solids (ie: minerals).

You're good to go then... probably. Wash and dry. No fab softener. Enjoy!

Donnt forget to tell him to wash the micro fiber towels

with only other micro fiber towels, not anything else. No cotton towels, etc.. Just the micro fiber things alone. Good luck, DanF

Please pardon my ignorance, but what is the big deal with fabric softeners or washing micro-fiber with any other fiber?
Also, I realize this sounds odd, but is all micro-fiber the same?
You can buy micro-fiber towels at Cost Co or Sams Club for pretty cheap, but is the quality there?
