mud riding
I see where all the money is, me I can't bring myself to take a newer truck through the mud. I had a 1998 dodge dakota and what I found easier for dear hunting is to put about three to five coats of wax on my truck maybe three times a year to keep it slick and that seemed to work well. especially since the truck was black, it had very few scratches. Only when I tried to go through thick trails where I had no business did I scratch it. Only mistake I made was when I took it some where to get the moter cleaned and they used all that shiny stuff detailing the engine and boy was that a mess after my next hunting trip. It is fun but the clean up sux.

This can be prooven by just about any 'serious duty' truck. For example, vehicles that they utilize in the mining industry. They typically have a MUCH shorter lifespan than those that are not utilized consistantly in that type of an atmosphere.
In short, yes. You can accelerate wear and tear on the truck with frequent 'muddin'.
