Clear Coated Wheels

I bought a set of new 07 FX2 Sport Wheels off ebay - they delivered today - one of the wheels has some pretty severe scratching in the clear coat - does anyone have a suggestion of how to minimize the scratches?

Sight unseen, it's a tough call. Can you post a few pics?

Was the scratching caused by shipping or from use? I look forward to the pics...

For some reason it won't let me post attachments. Do you have an email I can send them too? They are new take offs so it had to happen in shipping - my first bad ebay experience.

Doesn't sound like it was ebay's fault -- probably not the seller's either unless it was really poor packing... sorry about the problems though.

We don't post attachments... we upload them to a free f150online gallery and then link them into posts...

You can email them to me if you want and I'll get it done or, if you wish, you can create your own gallery and link them in....

The scuffs atop Photo 4 look like they won't come out...

The light 'straight line' scratches in the other pics look as though you can minimize them with the use of a product like Meguiar's Scratch X or similar but, again, I don't think that the clear build on the wheel is sufficient for removal.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news on this for you, bud.

Angry

Thanks for posting. Of course I can't get a hold of the seller either. Live and learn I guess.
