Stock FX4 Wheels
Those of you that have the stock FX4 wheels, what are you using to clean and shine them with? I have the stock STX wheels and I am purchasing the stock FX4s. Different material so I figure I will have a slight change in product/method.
I have just been soaping mine and wiping them down really good in the drying process, but my current ones are the clearcoated wheels.
thanks,
themetermcse

I use the Meg's NXT metal/chrome polish on mine.
RP say this is the best on the market. I will need to give it a try.

GENTLEMEN!
I've never advocated utilizing METAL POLISH on CLEAR COATED WHEELS!
If your wheels are clear coated, you need to treat them like paint. To my knowledge, FoMoCo wheels have been coated, with few exceptions, for the past several years.
Metal polish is more abrasive than most polishes designed to deal with paint. Because of this, using the metal polish on the clear coat will deterorate the coating in a quick fashion and, further, you're not getting ANY protective qualities...
Think of it this way -- you wouldn't take metal polish to your passenger door.

I believe that RP is saying that the FX4 wheel is clear coated. If that's the case, treat it like paint. With just some soapy water and a soft brush my wheels really shine! The only thing I've ever used metal polish on is my exhaust tips. I've heard that some people will wax their wheels (with a synthetic wax so it won't melt off as easily) but I never have.

And, yes. Even FX4 wheels.
