I got to COMPOUND!!!

Well, the forecast for the next week is sunny days and 75 degree weather, perfect time to me to learn to compound. It was my first time using my Rotary buffer on my truck, I was kinda scared but it all turned out ok. I did all the learning on the roof of the truck incase I messed up.

As you can see from this pic, my hood had some heavy heavy oxidation.

Yea...its pretty bad I know.

Heres a closeup of more oxidation, but it's in the shade so Its harder to see.

So....after spending over 3 hours on my hood alone, I ended up with this....

Heres my favorite one...(after a coat of NXT..I love NXT!!!)

I only had time to compound the hood and roof this weekend, hopefully Ill get time to do the rest of the truck soon. However, I did manage to get a coat of NXT on the rest of the truck which I didnt get pic's of because the sun went away on me. So, whatcha think guys? RP, not so bad for an amateur huh?

Looks good! Compounding can, at times, be difficult... looks like you did well.

It should be said that compounding isn't always the best route to take to remove stubborn problems but, in your case, it looks like it was... nice work.
