Lake Country Pads vs Meguiars

would like to hear what the experts think about Lake pads vs the Meg

I am using the new version of Meg with the diamond patterns in them...but some one I know swears by the Lakes.

Thoughts?

I've got some of the new diamond pads myself... haven't used them yet though.

The new wool pads from Meg's (So1o system) look nice. I like the thought of two levels of cut from wool.

the black finish pad from Meg is nice...from what i was told the plastic rim on the lake pads are nice as they seem to allow longer pad life...but as much as I use them, I am not sure that is an issue. I am pretty new to using a DA so I don't really have the experience to know just how much the newer pads are.

RP...how much cut do you get from a pad? If the polish has a cut of say 4, what does the pad add?
