The black plastic caps on each side of the bed on my 2004 STX are severely faded. The truck has sat outside most of its life but these caps should not be faded nearly white after three years. I tried treating them with some tonneau cover spray ("444" I think) after they started to fade (about a year and a half ago), but it just keeps getting worse. The truck looks like new except for this, and it just irritates me. My B2B warranty is running out next month, and I wondered if anyone else has had this problem, and if so, did the dealership help out with the warranty? I haven't contacted them about it yet, figured it might be a waste of time. Thanks.

 

Try some 303 protectant on it and see if that works.

I have tried it on 1 of mine and it restored it to almost like new.
