My Unplanned Weekend Detail Adventure...

So, on Saturday to make some extra cash, I decided to deliver flowers for a local flower shop. Had to use my mom's car, seeing how vases wouldn't survive very well in the back of a 3/4 ton truck. Well, that meant that my dad had to drive my truck. He drove it 3 miles, so no big deal. Anyways, I come home, and he's washing it... using his favorite dish soap. I almost killed him. So, I pulled the truck into the garage to get it in the shade. The roof cleared the garage door by an inch.

Next thing I know, I've got some help showing up...

1 coat of Gold Class, and 1 coat of NXT later, this is what I got:

Also finally cleaned the toolbox.

Hit up the rims and the exhaust tip too...they look sweeeeeeeeeeeet....

I don't think it looks too shabby for 99.5K and never been garaged...

Very nice!

And the truck ain't bad, either.

Dish soap? Ouch. My dad does that to his truck and I'll never understand it. Then again he does drive a Titan...

By the way, are those leather seats? I thought your truck was an XLT.

Johnboy, the truck is an XLT with aftermarket leather seat covers on them... not the best of quality, but they'll do for now.

RP, I'm not gonna say a word. How'd I do on the wheel wells?

And Patman, the light covers look better in person... but they will be coming off when I finally get some OEM replacements... the right rear light has a nice crack in it...

Got any pictures of how that toolbox looked before? Mine is getting a little dull. I wonder if that stuff would work on black. What is it and how did you apply it? Looks good.

Tardman, on the right side of the picture is the before. On the left is the after. All I did was apply the stuff with a applicator pad, rub for a few seconds, then buff with a microfiber.

And renglander, she makes the whole truck look better when she drives it

So I guess your dad really did the right thing then since that prompted you to clean it up nice and we got to enjoy the pics that resulted! This board could use more of that!

This is probably a stupid question...you can let me know but why is it that on some threads I can't see the pics that are posted? Is this user error? Do I need to do something in my profile? I use Firefox but I also tried to see this thread in IE and still no pics.
