Turtle Wax ICE car wash

Hello,

Does anyone have experience with Turtle Wax ICE car wash?
I was at Costco (in Canada) looking for Gold Class car wash but they only had this ICE product. I thought that I should give it a try.

Should I try it or return it and go for the GC?

I haven't used it personally. I did some reading about it on other forums. I read nothing negative. It would compare to Mequiars NXT car wash shampoo as others put it.

For what it's worth. I've noticed the Duragloss 901 car wash is really starting to catch on becoming a well known product as is most of their other products. Same goes for the Chemical Guys "Citrus Based Hyper-Wash+Gloss" shampoo.

I believe RockPick likes the Poorboys shampoo. So, there are a lot of good car wash products out there really.

I'm new to all of this car detailing stuff so I'm just learning.
The only stuff that I've used in the paste is Turtle Wax zip car wash.

Anyways, I'll let you know how it goes...

Edit: Just noticed you were talking about the car wash..... sorry never tried it. lol But I'll leave my review of ICE wax.

I've been using ICE for a while now.

At this point I don't think it's as good a good wax. The thing that IS nice about ICE is that you can use it on the black plastic parts such as the mirrors, door trim..etc and it looks good when you are done.

I do like hi-tech yellow wax as my favorite wax.

Does a great job and better than ICE by far.

a friend of mine tried it & was unhappy with it due to how quickly it dusted up and how his paint surface wasn't as slick as it was before.

Oddly enough, I just returned from the store where I bought the ICE wash, liquid clay bar and paste wax. I plan on using it all this afternoon on the truck, so I will have more info later.....

Any feedback on the ICE products? I'm thinking about doing the same. ICE wash, liquid clay bar and paste wax.

How is it for removing minor swirl marks? I'm thinking of using some Scratch-X after the clay process if it doesn't get all of the scratches out.

It is by far the best stuff I have ever used. The only downside is I don't think it lasts as long as "regular" wax so you need to apply more often or keep it up with the detailer spray. I tried the wax and liked it and went back and bought their was, detail spray, and liquid clay bar. I did the full job on both my cars and motorcycle. It was the best finish I have ever gotten. Plus, it goes on so much easier. If you have ever used paste wax on an entire truck all by hand, you know afterwards you can't move your arm (at least me, I may be a wus) But this stuff goes on, comes off, and leaves a terrific finish.

I haven't used it but can count on two hands how many people said that they thought it was average or slightly better than average... this includes 'various' other detailing websites that I frequent.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing (ie. what's the sample size)?
