PC Polisher

I used the DC process on my hood last week and it looked great. I'm off this week and want to do the whole truck but would rather have that Porter Cable polishing tool. I forget exactly what it's called, PC 1824 or something like that. Anyways, other than getting one off the web where can I get one of these.

Thanks

Other than the web...

Lowe's will carry the 7336. Same machine as a 7424 with a different (lighter) counterweight.

The better option --- www.autodetailingsolutions.com

Full kit... one box... everything you need (backing plate pads etc) and a lifetime warranty to boost. It's branded as a Meguiar's G-100 but, it's a PC7424.

Got mine last week and can't wait until I get back home later this month to use it on the truck. RP-I'll be picking your brain to make sure I do it right my first time.

Thanks RP. If I go with pkg 1 or 2, can you find applicator and polishing pads in the local stores or do you have to order those? If ya know

It is very easy to use. I ran into no trouble the first time I used it. You will love it!

you might be able to locate someone locally that carries the Meguiar's or the Lake country pads .. but most of the time, online is your best bet.

I'm think I might try some of the Lake country pads when I need some new ones.

Everyone has their druthers, and so do I. I have the PC7424 With all the extras that come with the first order. I tried all the various heads and I like above all the 6" sponge rubber polishing pad with a Microfiber Bonnet stretched over it. Seems to me this is an all purpose set up. I finish off my waxing by hand to avoid the swirls.

The 6" sponge polishing pad comes from Toolbarn.com

The Microfiber bonnets come from Autogeek.net.

I looked all over my town of 110k pop. and I could never find a 7424 setup and therefore I do not look locally for the polishing pads or bonnets. I just order them and in a few days they show up at my door.
