glass etching help

Have a car to clean up in the morning. One problem spot is the hazing/scratching on the driver's window from being rolled up and down while dirty. I'm sure ya'll know the ones I'm talking about.

What I'm needing to know is what I might have or can get localy that will help clean them up. Stuff I thought might help that I already have are meg's #17 plastic cleaner, scratchX, plastix, #9 swirl remover. Or something else.

thanks

Try a paste of baking soda. Rub it in by hand. DO NOT LET IT GET ONTO ANYTHING NOT GLASS!!! Other than that, try a rubbing compound (ie: that red crap Turtle Wax has) or a polishing compound (ie: the white crap in the green and white plastic tub). Either should work, but just in case, there are also glass resurfacing kits out there, but I have never used one.

Here's the results.

My friend was about to go have a new window installed so she really didn't care if I experimented with something in case it might work. The etching is still there some but quite an improvement. Looks like I took tint off or something. Color difference is from the fact that the first picture was at 8:00 a.m. and the 2nd was at 11:00 a.m.

I used meg's #17 and #10 several times hoping it would do the same thing to glass given enough time. Used the #17 four times before hitting it with the #10 then rainx.
