I was more interested in the swirl removing/hiding abilities by working by hand more then anything since I got stuck with a used Lightning after totaling my brand new one (out of production - used was my only option) and it had some major swirls and marring. I'm still not confident in myself enough to use a machine and was desperate to find something that could make me happy working by hand. I can vouch for his findings of his review that the AutoGlym Super Resin Polish does an admirable job at hiding swirls by hand (just look at his pics and compare to the others).

The NXT is a polymer sealant, and thus, needs time to cure, and since it has some light (really light) abrasives and some fillers and detergents, it needs to be before the step 3, otherwise it will not bond properly. So-- If you do as I bolded above, you will be fine. And you will enjoy a longer lasting protection span.

Yep. Do the NXT first, then you will be fine. Wait 12 hours before adding the step 3. (Use a QD spray to remove dust before you do, though)

clay
Deep Crystal cleaner (step)
Then add the NXT Gen Wax.
They said that the NXT Gen wax is a wax and polisher.

But yes, your system will work, too. How much time were you planning on spending on it? Money?

I'm actually going to play devil's advocate here...
Step #2 in the DC system -- when using with NXT -- really doesn't yield a heck of a lot. Basically, the NXT (because of the mild cleaners) will help to actually strip off some of the trade polishing oils and such that will be left behind by the #2.
In short, I'm going to side with your Meg's helpdesk guy (maybe Jose?) as, generally speaking, they're right.
While it wouldn't hurt to do the #2 DC step, it's not really going to help a great deal either.
If it were mine, I'd forgo the #2 step (as all it is is a 'add some pop' step) and top the NXT with the #3 DC (wax) step to add depth and clarity to the NXT.... that's just me though.

But yeah- now that I rebooted my brain, RP is (of course) right...
I usually go ahead and polish anyways because in addition to the little bit of pop, it replaces some of the natural oild in the paint (or so they say), and makes it happier... It is, after all, a 20 minutes or less process to do... May as well (Especially if you have a bunch sitting around...)

Remove step 1 before it dries.
Search the finger swipe test-- thats how you know when to remove NXT
Other than that, unless we convince you to do an all out detail before then, reapply NXT every 3 months or so.
