Didnt you know that all you have to do to make it rain is detail???

Its a common practice here in Texas. and if detailing doesnt work, plan a pool party or a wedding outside, and it will rain. Guaranteed.

I thought I woke up to thunder and Lightning last night- but then I thought I was nuts. Guess not!

I had to go get a haircut today, and when I got to my truck, I nearly broke down.

Water-spots, everywhere

And I have to go back to school tomorrow...with a water-spotty truck, mainly because Im too worn out from detailing yesterday to wash it :P

It absolutely sux when your truck is clean and then your detail work gets washed away before you can enjoy it. Happens here all the time

I spent like 4-5 hours detailing my truck on Saturday morning, and just as I was about to finish it looked like it was going to rain.

ONE rain drop fell on the hood of the truck as I was standing there, but that was the only one!

I almost wanted to cry until I realized it wasn't going to rain =p

I just finished the Xterra detail-- All done by hand. Pics soon to come, but for now, I need to sort through the 300+ pics I took. (I wanted to document EVERYTHING, just in case. (And, when you have a digi camera to play with....May as well. It doesnt cost like film....)
My arms definately are feeling it. This was one designed to show people that a trip to autozone and a weekend can be as prductive as all the pro products and a buffer. Just a lot more tiring, labor intensive, etc.
Wash, Clay, S-X, heavy compounding where needed, step 1, #9, #7, #21, Dupont Teflon Wax, a bunch of QD with #34 between above steps, frame repaint with Rust Oleum, plastics repainted with Krylon Fusion (after I found out that Restore black from Bondo doesnt work on slick plastics), exhaust tailpipe inside painted with high temp RO, Hitch painted, and some other things. Interior not done due to time.

Later, I will redo the interior, do the engine bay, and repaint a few other things. For now, I have a bunch to do. Maybe next weekend the rest will be done.

Sorry Farve, that sucks....

What part of SD are you in? I spent a ton of time in Rancho Bernardo. The RB Inn is one my favorites hotels...

I washed my truck today and took off my paint... lol...

But I know how it feels... I've been trying to keep both my rides decently clean... but everytime I want to do a serious detail, there is rain right around the corner.
