Haha.... Thanks. There's a few things that need to be taken care of with a DA, but I'm very happy with it. While I was doing it, one of the guys I lived with came out and saw my tub of detailing supplies. He asked why I had so many different chemicals for my paint. I told him it was nowhere nearly enough stuff...

Looks sharp...... and I especially like the color :thumpsup:

Just a quick noob question. I use a combination of #9, NXT and #26, I assume that I could use #80 in place of #9. If so, are there any pros or cons between the two?? By the way I currently would be doing it all by hand also.

Yes you could use 80 in place of 9...personally I have never used 9 only 80.

On my old truck I did a #9/NXT combo. On this truck, I did a #80/#26 combo. Next I'll try the #9/#26 combo on this truck and maybe top it with some NXT.

#9 is more of a concealer (which may be better by hand).... #80 is more of a 'remover' which is a bit more difficult by hand. Food for thought...

Which is what I've noticed... #9 covered up a whoooole lotta chit on my black truck. Thinking a DA and #80 will help me with a few tricky spots on my truck.

So in other words... if you have swirl marks use #9, little to no swirls marks use #80. Correct?

more like this:

#9 HIDES the problem
#80 FIXES the problem

Also-- NXT has mild detergents, so it probably will make the polish step near useless. Use #21

RR,

Both of those are classics in my book. The instructor that my fire dept. uses for our OSHA refresher showed these to us a few years ago and boy there was a lot of laughter!!!!!!!!
